Jonah Littlesunday w/ guest Ken Noland: July 20th, 6-9pm
The Playground is honored to host Native American Music Award nominee for Best Flutist of the Year Jonah Littlesunday (Diné) and special guest flutist Ken Noland (Cherokee).
Meet and Greet: 6PM | Doors Open: 7PM | Performance: 7:30PM.
From the quiet hills and plateaus of his Navajo people, Jonah Littlesunday has emerged as one of the most distinctive performers of the Native American flute. Inspired by themes that all human beings cherish – love, peace and unity – Jonah draws upon the solitude of his ancestral lands to create a meditative soundscape that heals the soul. A full-blooded Navajo from Grey Mountain, Arizona, Jonah Littlesunday has been playing the Native American flute since the age of 14, and we are honored to host him and his friend Ken Noland.
Ken is a local Indiana musician, and recently recorded a full length album at Playground Productions Studio. Ken is heavily involved in celebrating and educating communities all over Indiana about Native culture, performing the flute, sharing his stories to children of all ages, and being a great man to his family and friends. Make sure to talk to him after the show and take home his album Searching, and Walking the Path of Peace.
